What Do Home Health Aides Do? Home Health Aides (HHA) help the disabled and those with chronic illnesses perform activities of daily living. They often care for older adults who need assistance, and are the “foot soldiers” of any team that provides direct personal care.
Typical Job Duties Include: • Assist client with daily personal tasks, like bathing or dressing • Shop for groceries and prepare meals per client’s dietary specifications • Arrange transportation for medical visits and other outings • Help schedule appointments • Housekeeping and laundry
